Barcelona Ready for Historic Fixture at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in domestic competition two and a half years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.
Preparatory Events
Barça organized a fan-accessible workout inside the stadium in early November. Officials stated they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match facing Eintracht next month at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
